About Us

The Australian Academy of Property (AAP) was established to improve the standard of commercial property practice across the industry.

Commercial property is complex. It involves legal documentation, financial structures, compliance obligations, and ongoing management decisions that directly impact asset performance. Yet much of the training available in the market remains either too theoretical or too general to support the day-to-day realities of working in the field.

AAP was created to bridge that gap.
We work with agencies, property owners, and industry organisations to build capability across sales, leasing, and property management. Our focus is practical application, how things actually operate, where risk sits, and what needs to be in place to support consistent, professional delivery.
Our work spans:
  • In person and online workshops, webinars, and structured training programs
  • Practical online sessions focused on real world application
  • Consultancy and advisory support to agencies and property owners
  • Development of systems, templates, and operational frameworks

Everything we deliver is grounded in experience, not theory. The aim is simple, to support people working in commercial property to operate with clarity, structure, and confidence.

Our Approach: Upskilling with Purpose
At AAP, the focus is not just on delivering information, but on building capability through practical, structured upskilling.
Our approach reflects how commercial property careers actually develop across sales, leasing, property management, and agency operations.
People learn on the job, build experience over time, and often identify gaps only when issues arise. We meet participants where they are, build on existing knowledge, and strengthen the areas that matter most.
This includes:
  • Expanding practical understanding of leases, transactions, and asset management
  • Addressing the risk areas that sit behind everyday decisions including outgoings, documentation, authority scope, and compliance
  • Strengthening systems and workflows to support consistency across teams
  • Reframing how people think about process, responsibility, and risk
Every session is designed so participants leave with something tangible clearer understanding, practical tools, and the confidence to apply what they’ve learned immediately.
Learning does not stop when the session ends. AAP continues to support participants through templates, guidance, and ongoing connection as their roles evolve.

Why AAP Exists

The industry doesn’t need more generic training to meet CPD requirements. It needs structured, practical upskilling that reflects how commercial property actually works.

It needs:

  • Training that builds real capability, not just knowledge
  • Stronger systems and processes behind day to day practice
  • Clearer understanding of risk, responsibility, and compliance
  • Practical skills that support real assets and real decisions

AAP exists to support that shift through training, mentoring, and advisory work that improves how people operate across the industry.
