Wendy Thomson is a nationally respected commercial property educator, consultant, and industry leader with more than 35 years’ experience spanning commercial sales, leasing, property management, and professional training.
As Founder and Principal Consultant of the Australian Academy of Property, Wendy works closely with agencies, property owners, and industry organisations to elevate professional standards and strengthen the practical delivery of commercial property services. Her work is grounded in real-world application, with a strong focus on compliance, risk awareness, systems, and capability building.
Wendy’s career includes hands-on experience as an agency owner, senior leader, and advisor, giving her a deep understanding of the operational, legal, and commercial realities faced by property professionals. This experience underpins her highly practical training style and her reputation for translating complex requirements into clear, workable processes.
She has been a long-standing contributor to the profession through industry bodies, education boards, and government advisory roles, and is recognised for her commitment to improving standards across the commercial property sector.
A licensed estate agent in NSW and Victoria and a nationally accredited trainer, Wendy continues to lead the Australian Academy of Property with a clear purpose: to equip commercial property professionals with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to perform at a high standard – consistently and responsibly.
